Reading Composite Squadron is looking for volunteers to help with parking and other details for the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's World War II Weekend. What began as the recreation of a WWII airfield has grown to encampments representing the European and Pacific Theatres of the War, including an extensive home front display, more than 80 period aircraft, 200 vehicles and over a thousand living history re-enactors and entertainers.

This event draws thousands of people and the Reading Composite Squadron needs help finding them all a place to park. Duties will also include flight line perimeter watch and some aircraft escort. Everyone who arrives will be put to work, but also receive plenty of time to explore the event.

The activity begins the morning of June 6 (Friday) and goes until the afternoon of June 8 (Sunday). All help is appreciated, especially any squadrons that could work with us on Friday and/or Sunday. All three days are very busy, but Friday and Sunday are our lowest staffed days. All squadrons bringing cadets must have at least one senior member attending the event.

Squadrons will receive an equitable portion of the donation made by the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's based on their unit’s man-hours.

planned 2009 activity's......And set up a Cadet CAC PAO team to organize a Cadet Wing Newsletter..

I am looking forward to seeing as many Cadets from all our Groups attend this important CAC...

The Conference sign-in begins at 0730hrs. at the 8-80 Building at Fort Indaintown Gap General Assembly starts at app. 0900hrs. There will be a light Breakfast served during the sign-in..
Seminars start after General Assembly...Lunch is served during the CADET
ADVISORY COUNCIL LUNCHEON MEETING at app. 1200hrs. Seminars will follow the CAC
luncheon and a Cadet Commanders Call will run from 1600hrs to 1700hrs.
We will then break to go to the Community Club at Fort Indaintown Gap for our 1730hrs.
Dining-in...The Conference will conclude at the end of our Dining-in program...
Awards and any promotions that your Squadron would like to present will be at the
Dining-in....Just inform us at the morning sign-in...

The cost is $25.00 per Cadet, $25.00 per Senior and you need to fill out a registration
Form (which was in the Feb. Wing Mail ) and mail it along with your check to Penna.

The Pennsylvania Wing Commander, Col. Mark Lee has scheduled a pilots meeting for Saturday April 26, 2008 at Ft. Indiantown Gap beginning at 10:00 AM. It will last to approximately 4:00 PM.

Purpose: training and discussion of many aspects of the flying program including but not limited to:

Flight Safety
Mission Flying and associated paperwork
Scheduling of aircraft
Cadet orientation flying
Upgrade training
Assignment of Aircraft
Maintenance Issues
Funding will be provided for all wing aircraft. All Pennsylvania Wing aircraft are expected to attend this training loaded to maximize attendance as long as you remain within appropriate weight and balance requirements. The PIC must be at least qualified as a mission pilot or mission transport pilot. Lunch will be provided.

The National Commander now requires that all CAP members complete Security Awareness Training and agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement by 1 April 2008. If you do not complete the requirements, your access to e-Services and ability to participate in CAP activities will be extremely limited or ended. The National Commander’s Memorandum is located here:
