Mission 06M1129

Mission 06M1129 opened 0700 local June 26, 2006 for a missing aircraft near Mid State Airport (PSB) which is near Philipsburg. The Incident Commander was Lt Col Geyer of Group 1. A ground team made up of members of the Juniata Valley Flight 338 and the Centre County Sheriffs Office Search And Rescue (CCSOSAR) met Capt Andresen at the Mid State Airport, and began a hasty search to the aircraft's LKP at approximately 1020 local. The aircraft was located about 35 minutes later, with two survivors at the crash site. A third survivor managed to walk out to get help, and was found by an ATV driven by Shannon Allison of CCSOSAR.

Capt Erin Long, Lt Roy Long, cadet John Smith, and CCSOSAR team member Anya Ryba made the find, and were assisted at the scene by Ground Team Leader Lt Brian Bonner of Penn State Composite 1303, and Lt William Schlosser of Williamsport 401.
